What you get, and what it costs
The whole agreement, in the same plain English as the rest of the site. If anything here is unclear, call (647) 939-1800 and ask before you book.

Who you are dealing with
Purple Sky Cleaning, a house cleaning company operating in Toronto and the surrounding GTA. Reach us by text on (647) 939-1800 or [email protected]. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean Purple Sky Cleaning, and “you” means the person booking the clean.
What you are agreeing to
When you tick the box on the booking form and submit a booking, you are agreeing to everything on this page. If you do not agree with something on it, do not book. Call us instead and we will tell you plainly whether we can work around it.
Booking and prices
The price you are shown when you book is the price you pay. It is a flat rate for the home you described, not an hourly rate, and it does not change because the job took us longer than we expected.
There is no travel fee, no fuel surcharge and no booking fee. The only things that can change what you pay are the add-ons you choose yourself, and the two charges set out under changing or cancelling below.
The price is based on what you tell us: the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, the size of the home, and the type of clean. If what we find is materially different from what was booked (more rooms, a much larger home, or a property in a condition that needs a deep clean rather than a standard one) we will tell you before we start and agree a new price with you. We will not quietly do the work and send a bigger bill.
Paying
We take your card details when you book, through Stripe. Nothing is charged at that point. The card is stored securely by Stripe and we never see or hold the full number.
Before your clean we place a hold on your card for the price of the booking, and your clean is confirmed once that hold clears. Normally that happens 24 hours ahead. Our earliest slot is the next day, so if you book for tomorrow the hold is placed shortly after you book instead, because there is no 24 hours to wait. A hold is not a payment. The money is reserved rather than taken, though it will usually appear as pending in your banking app and reduce your available balance until it settles. On a debit card it can hold real funds for a few days, so if you would rather we held a credit card instead, tell us and we will use that.
The hold becomes the actual charge after the clean is finished, and you get a receipt by email. You are never charged more than the price you were quoted. If the hold does not go through, we will contact you to sort out the card before the day rather than turning up and hoping, and the clean is not confirmed until we have. If a payment fails after the clean, we will contact you to sort it out before we take any other step.
Changing or cancelling
More than 24 hours before the clean: free. Move it, change it or cancel it, at no cost, by calling or replying to your confirmation email.
Inside 24 hours: we charge 50% of the price of that clean. The slot was held for you and the day cannot be refilled at that notice. The same applies if we arrive and cannot get in, or cannot clean because the home is not accessible.
If we have to cancel or move your clean, we will tell you as early as we can and you are charged nothing.
Supplies and equipment
Usually we bring everything: products, cloths, mops and a vacuum, and there is never a charge for it. Some homes are reached by transit rather than by van, so occasionally we will ask you to leave out a vacuum or basic products instead. We agree that with you when we confirm the booking, never on the day.
If you would rather we used your own products, because of an allergy, a stone counter or a preference for fragrance-free, leave them out with a note and we will use those. Where you supply the products, we are not responsible for how a product you chose behaves on your own surfaces.
Getting in
You need to give us a way in: be home, leave a key, give us a code, or arrange it with your concierge. Tell us how in the access notes when you book, and tell us if anything changes.
If we are given a key or a code, we keep it secure and use it only to do the clean you booked. We will return or destroy it whenever you ask.
What we clean, and what we do not
What is included in each type of clean is set out on the room-by-room checklist, and that checklist is part of these terms.
There are things we do not do, for safety reasons rather than fussiness:
- Anything needing a ladder beyond a two-step stool, including high windows and light fittings out of reach
- Exterior windows above ground level
- Moving heavy furniture or appliances. We clean around and behind where it is already accessible
- Mould remediation, pest infestations, and homes that are not safe to work in
- Biohazards: blood, bodily fluids, needles, animal waste beyond a normal litter tray
- Cleaning up after a flood, fire or similar damage
If you are not sure whether something is covered, ask before you book rather than on the day.
If a clean is not right
Tell us within 24 hours of the clean and we come back and redo whatever was missed, at no charge. No form and no argument. This is the whole guarantee and we would rather you used it than left it.
After 24 hours we cannot tell what was us and what was ordinary use of a home, so the re-clean does not apply. You are of course still welcome to tell us.
Damage and breakages
We are careful in your home. Even so, we do not accept responsibility for damage to or breakage of anything in it.
Before we come, please put away anything valuable, fragile, antique or irreplaceable, and tell us about anything you would rather we did not touch. We will leave it alone. If something is precious to you, the safest thing is for us not to handle it at all.
We are not responsible for:
- Items that were already damaged, cracked, chipped, loose or unstable
- Items that fail because of how they were made, fixed, mounted or installed
- Surfaces and finishes that do not stand up to ordinary cleaning
- Anything you have asked us to clean after we have advised against it
- Wear that comes from a surface being cleaned normally and repeatedly
If something does go wrong, tell us within 24 hours and leave it where it is rather than clearing it away. We will look into it and talk to you. Where we agree we should put something right, we will, up to the price of that clean.
Nothing on this page removes any right you have under Ontario consumer protection law.
Your home, and the people cleaning it
We will not send anyone into a home that is unsafe. Our cleaners can leave, and we will treat the visit as a cancellation inside 24 hours, if they encounter aggression, harassment, discrimination, an unrestrained animal that will not let them work, illegal activity, or conditions that put their health at risk.
Please tell us if anyone in the home has an allergy or a sensitivity, or if there are products you would rather we did not use.
Pets
We are happy to clean around pets. Tell us when you book what and where they are. If a pet needs to be shut away or is nervous with strangers, that is fine, just say so in the access notes.
Regular cleans
Weekly, every two weeks and monthly cleans are discounted against the one-off price. There is no contract and no minimum number of cleans: you can stop at any time by telling us, and you keep the discounted price on every clean you have already had.
You can move or skip an individual clean under the same 24-hour rule as any other booking. If we have to change your regular day, we will tell you and agree a new one with you.
Your information
What we collect and why is in the privacy policy. In short: we collect what we need to clean your home and invoice you for it, we do not sell it, and you can ask us to delete it.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, the version that applies to your booking is the one on this page on the day you booked. We keep the date at the top current so you can tell.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply in it. Nothing here takes away any right you have under Ontario consumer protection law, and where anything on this page conflicts with that law, the law wins.
Talk to us first
If something has gone wrong, tell us before you do anything else. Text (647) 939-1800 or email [email protected]. Almost everything is fixable by a person picking up the phone, and we would rather fix it than argue about it.
